Indianapolis, Indiana – EnerDel and Allison Transmission have entered into a strategic relationship naming the battery manufacturer's PP320-689-LP Vigor+ pack as approved Allison support equipment.
The low-profile Vigor+ lithium-ion pack is approved for use with the Allison Hybrid H 40/50 EP system installed in diesel-hybrid buses globally.
" Entering into a relationship with Allison further solidifies our position as the lithium-ion ESS solutions provider of choice in the hybrid bus market. We look forward to continued traction in this market as transit authorities look to upgrade their aging fleets," said Ben Wrightsman, director of strategic applications for EnerDel.
Phil Bettner, director of hybrid product line teams for Allison Transmission noted, "With EnerDel's Vigor+ battery pack designed to integrate with the Allison Hybrid H 40/50 EP system, we're pleased to have this relationship expand the options available in the marketplace for customers of the Allison Hybrid system."
The low-profile Vigor+ pack will be on display at two upcoming trade shows, BusCon in Indianapolis, Sept. 15-17, and the Battery Show in Novi, Michigan, Sept. 16-18.
