HORN is adding a new threading option to its Supermini system with the introduction of sintered GM geometry inserts designed for internal threading applications. The GM geometry is engineered for turning metric ISO partial profile internal threads, providing reliable chip control even with challenging, long-chipping materials.

The chip breaker design ensures consistent short chips, reducing the risk of chip buildup, tangling around the tool holder, and potential process interruptions. This improves process stability and makes chip management much easier. The inserts are designed for core hole diameters starting at 5mm (0.197") with pitch sizes ranging from 0.5mm (0.028") to 1.5mm (0.060"). The new inserts are compatible with standard Supermini tool holders, making integration simple and efficient.

HORN will showcase its machining expertise across a 580m2 booth at EMO Hannover, featuring four machines, four dynamic component demonstrations, and a wide range of tooling solutions – all live and cutting chips throughout the event. Additionally, HORN will display a variety of product exhibits, new tooling solutions, and innovations for 2025.

“I’m confident that visiting EMO will be well worth the trip for our customers and anyone interested in cutting-edge machining,” says Markus Horn, managing director of Paul Horn GmbH. “The best solutions come from conversations, and EMO is the perfect place for that. We’re looking forward to connecting in Hall 5, Booth A32.”
