The Jumat 6S speeds grinding times and ensures quality by increasing the amount of work done in a single clamping setup. Each wheelhead features a separate X- and Z-axis, enabling simultaneous workpiece grinding with three grinding wheels. One grinding spindle ensures precise taper and plane surfaces (Z/X 1), another takes care of the shoulder (Z/X 2), while the last spindle grinds the ID and shoulder (Z/X 3).
Gearwheel grinding has been improved by reworking workpiece support – a center clamp consisting of a hydrostatic bearing and precision power chuck enables the workpiece to be ground simultaneously and on both sides.
Extended grinding tool life lowers grinding costs for the three-wheel system, and tailor-made solutions are available to meet customer requirements.
