ATOS ScanBox Series 7 and 8 meet automotive industry requirements to scan large and heavy parts, such as car side panels and complete car bodies. The series can measure parts up to 2.5m x 6.0m (8ft x 20ft) and does not require permanent, heavy ground installation. The systems’ 8-axis kinematics feature a horizontal rail, vertical lift, and articulated robot to advance robotic blue light inspection. In addition, eight degrees of freedom allow for parts to be measured from every angle including the car interior.
