Running April 25-29, 2016, HANNOVER MESSE will bring together more than 6,500 exhibitors from 70 countries and more than 220,000 visitors. The United States is the partner country in 2016, bringing a higher profile to its visitors and exhibitors. Larry Turner, president and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA Inc., delivers insight on achieving the most from the show.
TMV: How can HANNOVER MESSE 2016 visitors connect with companies?
LT: We recommend prearranging appointments with current or potential companies that you would like to connect with in person. If you are exhibiting, you’ll have other new business opportunities pop up in the booth. But scheduling meetings up to four months in advance will help you develop long-term business relationships.
TMV: What are the benefits of the U.S. being the partner country for 2016?
LT: The United States partner country provides a higher level of visibility for U.S. based companies that are looking for trade partnerships to develop sales opportunities, and want to learn about solutions for business problems. The United States has always been a very attractive market for international companies, and with the partner country program this is elevated to provide additional support from the U.S. Department of Commerce and many economic development organizations. Because the U.S. has been selected as the partner country for the 2016 HANNOVER MESSE event, you will see a spike in U.S. visitors and exhibitors. We anticipate U.S. media and major political leaders from the U.S. will attend in addition to thought leaders from around the world.

TMV: What are some highlights visitors should look for at HANNOVER MESSE 2016?
LT: The fourth industrial revolution or Industry 4.0 core themes will be highlighted on the floor and in the conference presentations. Look for innovations in robotics and intelligent technologies, advanced manufacturing technologies, energy efficiency, and alternative energy solutions, as well as additive manufacturing, to name a few.
