The Ganesh VFM-2416 features axis travels of 24" x 15.75" x 17.7" (X-Y-Z), with rates of 1,417ipm. The 12,000rpm, 15hp direct-drive 40-taper spindle features rigid tapping and a thermostatically controlled spindle oil cooler. Standard on the machine is 300psi through-the-spindle coolant, with 1,000psi as an option. The Big-Plus dual-contact precision ground spindle offers rigidity, reduced tool runout, and greater cutting capability. The machine uses roller bearing guideways in all three axes, providing nearly twice the rigidity of ball bearing ways. A 24-tool 40-taper twin-arm automatic tool changer (ATC) is included.
The VFM-2416 is the smallest of the Ganesh VFM series, with the largest machine in this series at 100" x 39".
