Automatic pallet changer

The 40SD series automatic pallet changer allows machine users to load, unload, and inspect parts and set up jobs while an alternate pallet is in the machine, reducing setup times. Heavy or bulky workpieces can be set up outside the machine.

Precision servo drive assemblies extend into machining centers, tilt and engage with pallet couplers, and remove pallets from the centers. Those servos, along with hardened and ground locating pins, offer quick pallet exchanges with ±0.0010" (0.0025mm) repeatability. A dual air blast system blows through and across contact pads to remove chips. With Mitsubishi controls, the pallet changers integrate with CNC machines using M-functions.

Automatic lathes

The Sprint 32|5 and Sprint 32|8 automatic lathes for bar material with diameters of up to 1.3" (32mm) are now available with the Swisstypekit, enabling short and long turning on one machine – with setup times of less than 30 minutes.

With a 30.1ft2 (2.8m2) footprint, the two additions to the Gildemesiter Italiana product family are compact machines, yet offer 1.3" x 23.6" (32mm x 600mm) work areas.

To add the Swisstypekit, designers lengthened the machines’ spindle stokes to 240mm from 100mm. An optional quick tool-change system can reduce setup by another 20%.
