Compact horizontal machining center
Designed for speed, the FH450J offers quick acceleration, fast traverse rates, and a rapid tool change time. This HMC can be integrated with the Toyoda integrated production system (TIPROS) flexible manufacturing system (FMS) to automate production in a small footprint.
The 450mm-sized FH450J maximizes machining capacity with a compact footprint. Its work envelope has a maximum swing of 630mm (24.8") and height of 900mm (35.43"). The FH450J uses thermal displacement sensors to adjust for heat expansion of ball screws, ensuring consistent results as operating temperatures change.
TIPROS FMS Features

Micro-machining toolholder
The TRIBOS-RM precision toolholder with the ISO interface uses a one-piece, rotationally symmetric design to ensure long life of the machine spindles and the complete transmission of power. Unlike heat shrink clamping, the TRIBOS-RM achieves steady tool clamping that will not distort the toolholder. Users benefit from a runout accuracy of less than 0.003mm.
Designed for spindle speeds of up to 60,000rpm, the toolholder can handle the high speeds involved in micro-machining. Sizes ISO 10 D 1mm to 6mm are available. The balancing grade is G 2.5 at 25,000rpm.
