Wire EDM line
Upgrades to the linear-motor-driven SL-G wire EDM machine line reduce the number of cuts necessary to achieve required accuracy and surface finish, reducing machining time, thanks to a smart pulse generator. Coupled with a smart pulse wire (SPW) control, the system uses the Windows 7 operating system and a 19" multi touch screen, which operates like a tablet. Screen layouts can be customized by the operator to suit their working preferences.

Clutch brake system
BXR spring applied brakes may serve as an emergency brake, as well as a holding brake. With a low profile design, it has two-thirds the thickness of other brakes. Designed as a safety brake for robotic arms, when a catastrophic power failure occurs, BXR safety brake compression springs engage and capture the brake’s rotor hub, immediately stopping arm movement.
The BXR brake may also be installed on the output face of a servo motor, serving as a power-off holding brake. A single friction plate provides fast response in high cycle applications. Armature engagement is smooth, quiet, and operates with no chatter.
BXR operating specifications
- Brake torque: 3.688 lb-ft to 40.566 lb-ft (5Nm to 55Nm)
- Brake outer diameter: 3.287" to 7.280" (83.5mm to 185mm)
- Ambient temperature: 14°F to 104°F (-10°C to 40°C)

Controls allow simultaneous functions
Excavator controls enable synchronous usage of all functions without performance limitations, boosting convenience and machine use time. Suitable for lightweight or heavy-duty excavators, controls can adjust volume flows for all functions if the pump comes to its displacement limits.
Electronics target which functions to maintain at full performance, prioritizing critical tasks. The programmable logic valve control (PLVC) constantly collects data from the joystick, pump, and combustion engine and calculates the priority of functions requested by the excavator’s driver. Ancillary blocks with shock and suction valves, as well as adjusted intermediate plates are available to extend the hydraulic control with additional functions.
The spool in the proportional directional spool valve is optimized for finely controlled movements so that a fully extracted boom can be adjusted to the centimeter while performing its upward and downward movements. It is also possible to pre-calculate the back pressures at pulling loads so the dynamic excavation has low-loss.

Small-sized turning inserts
Isoturn small-sized inserts are available in a wide range of geometries, corner radii, chipformers, and advanced carbide grades. Generally thicker than the standard inserts of the same sizes, the line offers higher durability and can run at feed rates similar to the larger inserts.
WNMG 33.. 3/8" Inserts
Inscribed circle ECO inserts cover about 75% of turning applications, as the most popular D.O.C. range is between 0.03" and 0.12". The small-sized inserts can handle this machining range with reduced costs compared to the 1/2" inscribed-circle, larger inserts more commonly used.

Swiss-type lathe
The L20 Type XII Swiss lathe includes B-axis controllable rotary tools, simplifying simultaneous complex machining. The additional axis of control allows drilling and milling of angled features and contours without retooling or resetting, with a total range of 135°, from 90° to -45°. Rotary tools can be used for both front and back machining.
Upgrades to L20 Type XII:
- Spindle through-hole diameter: 26mm, up 8%
- Gang rotary tools spindle speed: 6,000rpm, up 20%
- Back tool post rotary tools spindle speed: 7,500rpm, up 50%
- Total possible tools: 39 to 40, up about 55%
- Power consumption: 7.3kVA, down 9%

Compact clamping system
The RKE NC-compact vice clamping system features a solid steel body with its contact surfaces and guides hardened and ground on all sides. Redesigned for better chip discharge with fewer interfering contours, the system’s protective caps and dirt protectors prevent chips from penetrating the inside of the vice body. A central grease nipple sits next to the adjustable drive spindle for easy accessibility and lubrication of the spindle threads and all guides.
RKE NC vice clamp
- Jaw widths: 3.6", 4.9", 6.3", and 7.9"
- Horizontal, lateral, or vertical mounting options
- Thread connections allow use of all Röhm flat-clamping jaws within the 4.9" and 6.3" width sizes
