M inverse DIN 41612 connectors

Connector styles M inverse for DIN 41612 are suited for combined connections between circuit boards in which signal, coax, high current up to 40A, or glass fiber transmissions need to be combined in one connector.

Connectors are available with the pole numbers 78+2, 60+4, 42+6, 24+8, and 6+10, where the first number indicates the number of signal contacts and the second the number of special contacts. The 6+10 connector style enables up to 10 special contacts to be integrated in one connector. For all applications, diverse contacts both with cable and circuit board connections are available. Together with other M connectors, mezzanine connections (two parallel circuit boards) and extender card connections (two circuit boards side-by-side) can be implemented with the various combinations.

IR/laser diode camera

A driver-monitoring camera that provides high quality images at night or in poor lighting conditions supports advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features such as lane departure warning and switching between autonomous and manual driving mode. In extreme cases, such as drunk driving, it can disable the vehicle.

The system combines an emitter with a camera to create an infrared camera with high image quality in visible (400nm to 700nm) and near-infrared (940nm) spectrums.

Driver monitoring technology uses an IR camera with active illumination. The camera is mounted inside the vehicle and positioned toward the face of the driver in order to monitor eyes, nose, and face. Osram IR 940nm high-power stack emitters provide light not perceptible by the human eye. The light is reflected from the driver’s face and captured by the image sensor. The emitters use fewer LEDs and require less power consumption per LED.

Applications

  • Side view or surround view camera for blind spot detection
  • Rear view camera for cross traffic alerts
  • Self-parking
  • Autonomous driving to monitor when a driver wants to take back control from the car

High-amperage alternators

PowerEdge high amperage alternators for medium- and heavy-duty trucks are smaller, lighter, and more efficient than competing models. PowerEdge features segment conductor (SC) technology, which incorporates a square wire copper stator design. The system achieves higher efficiency in a smaller, more lightweight design, which translates into improved fuel economy. Advantages include improved efficiency, higher amps at idle, and up to 10 lb weight reduction.

PowerEdge alternators are available in four output versions – 170A, 185A, 205A, and 220A. Units are equipped with heavy-duty bearings, long-life brush composition, and remote sense technology to prolong battery life. The units’ compact sizes offer technicians easier handling and installation.
