Machining centers
The EM series’ vertical machining center (VMC) base is supported by full-travel, enabling it to be suitable for high-speed machining. All three axes are built with high-speed linear ways, providing smooth movement. The series includes a Fanuc 0iMD, color 8.4" LCD that has simultaneous contouring, linear-circular-helical interpolation, and canned cycles for drilling, tapping, and profiling.
The FBL-200 slant bed lathe boasts a 45° slant-bed rigid boxways structure with ribbed-meehanite, cast-iron, mono-blocking fabrication that provides strong support and damping absorption to resist deflection and vibration during heavy machining.
The Smart-B818III automatic grinder is capable of producing mirror surface finishes on accurately ground workpieces with microfinishes of 5RMS. The Smart’s PC-based control, combined with a conversational TaskLink and constant contact dressing function, makes it easy to operate.
The FSG-1224ADIII surface grinding machine includes a touch-screen control station that is adjustable for operator comfort. Switches, buttons, LEDs, and indicating lamps are all combined in a touch display. A PLC controller provides a grind cycle with rough grinding, fine grinding, and spark-out passes. An automatic over-wheel dresser with compensation can be added to fully automate the grind process.

Robotic gear handling cell
The cell transfers gears between alloy trays and baskets in the heat treatment process that transforms green gears into hard gears, replacing manual handling processes. It flexibly handles multiple gear styles and sizes and is suited for a variety of power transmission operations ranging from large commercial, military, and industrial vehicles, to automobiles, marine craft, recreational vehicles, and lawn and garden equipment.
FEATURES
- IRB360 FlexPicker high speed material handling robot
- Flexible Servo Gripper for multiple gear sizes and styles
- Vision Guidance System to capture accurate gear and alloy locations
- ABB SoftMove technology to compensate for warped or bent alloy trays

CADverter
V18.2 CATIA V5-NX CADverter offers new product features and enhancements, including added support for the Theorem unified interface (UI). The UI acts as a productivity tool for existing users and a publishing tool for new users, allowing data to be sifted through, filtered, and translated in batches.
Integrated within the CATIA application, V18.2 supports V5 R19, V5-6R2012, V5-6R2013, V5-6R2014, V5-6R2015, NX 8.5, NX 9.0, and NX 10 both bi-directionally and uni-directionally.
Enhancements have been made to enrich the process of exporting data containing PMI to 3DPDF. An update allows PMI to be correctly orientated in a view, relative to the direction of the view when exporting data containing PMI to 3DPDF. An update to the NX read allows standard views to be read by default.
Features
- Reference set processing as the default
- Seed part segregation support for parts and assemblies
- NX empty part option retains placeholders in assembly
- Control presentation of corrupt geometry
