Carr Lane Manufacturing Co.
Carr Lane Manufacturing Company acquired the Clip Buddy product line from Fractal Engineering.
Clip Buddy is a patented clip-holding and release device for check fixtures. Check fixtures are used to ensure the product quality of plastic parts in a vehicle. Suitable for use with W-base plastic clips, steel H-clips, and interior or exterior panels, the Clip Buddy help overcome the challenge of precisely holding clips in check fixtures and releasing them without damage to the clip. The product is significantly smaller than traditional jaw blocks and requires less access for actuation. The Clip Buddy is available with a variety of actuation methods including in automated systems.
The product line expands the range of products from Carr Lane Mfg. used in automotive check fixtures. Products commonly used in check fixtures offered by Carr Lane Mfg. include toggle clamps and alignment pins.
The acquisition allows customers to reduce the number of vendors and consolidate freight costs by adding these items to their existing Carr Lane Mfg. orders. The product line will be shipped and assembled in St. Louis, MO.
