Luxury automotive brand, Genesis opened its second UK Studio1 at Battersea Power Station in mid-October.

Situated within Turbine Hall B of the iconic Grade II listed Power Station, the space will showcase the UK model range, a convergence of past and future innovation in electrification.

A new type of luxury experience, the Genesis Studio at Battersea Power Station will express the iconic elements of the brands’ culture, refined and contemporary design, progressive functionality, and distinctly Korean.

The space includes a dedicated area for vehicle configuration, where visitors can discover Genesis color, interior, and garnish configurations options through an interactive content and immersive experience.

Visitors to the Studio will be treated as Genesis’ son-nim - ‘son’ meaning ‘guest’ and ‘nim’ being an honor. This reflects the Korean virtue of providing the best to those who step inside your home. Upon arrival, customers will be assigned a clear point of contact, a Genesis Personal Assistant, to manage all their needs through the buying and ownership experience.

“The experience in our Studio is a physical mirror of our online experience; from the customer service via our Genesis Personal Assistants to our transparent pricing options, with no haggling or discounting – the same superb value for every customer,” says Andrew Pilkington, UK Managing Director at Genesis. “We are hugely excited for the opening of our new Studio at Battersea Power Station, which represents another big step in our commitment to the UK market, as well as the opportunity to be closer to our customers and deliver a luxury experience.”

“We are really pleased that Genesis will be opening a new store at Battersea Power Station, which will feature some of the brands’ newest technology and customer experience,” says Sam Cotton, Head of Leasing at Battersea Power Station.

Visitors can get behind the wheel and experience driving a Genesis vehicle from the Studio with a comprehensive test drive program to start their Genesis journey.

Since the brand launched in the UK last year, Genesis is successfully disrupting the market by offering premium, Korean-designed cars with a luxury experience. With a focus on electrification, the brand has announced and released three electric vehicle models in 2022 alone - demonstrating clear progress to their commitment to becoming an all-electric vehicle brand by 2030 and to pursuing the goal of being a carbon net zero by 2035.

Genesis’ electrification journey began with GV60, a high-performance electric vehicle with a sleek and athletic crossover utility vehicle design, then with the Electrified G80 - a modern interpretation of the classic sedan profile while uncompromising style and practicality and finally Electrified GV70 which delivers exceptional driving performance while embodying the brand’s ‘Athletic Elegance’ with highest standards in luxury, versatility, and comfort.
