Boston, Massachusetts – Fleet vehicle electrification company XL Hybrids Inc.’s vehicles hit the 10 million road miles milestone. Corporations, municipalities, and nonprofits have used the XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System in their service, delivery, and passenger fleets, averaging more than 1 million miles per month.
“In addition to the fast onboarding of new clients, we have loyal customers returning with new orders, including The Coca-Cola Co., ThyssenKrupp Elevator, and the City of Boston,” says Clay Siegert, vice president and co-founder of XL Hybrids.
With 10 million miles achieved, XL Hybrids’ customers have so far effectively:
- Saved 160,000+ gallons of gas
- Reduced 1,400+ tons of carbon dioxide
- Saved 1,500 hours of driver productivity with fewer stops for fuel fill-ups
- Experienced 99.9% vehicle uptime
The XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System delivers a 25% increase in miles per gallon and 20% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
The XL3 platform as available on General Motors vans through Class 4 trucks. Compatible models include the Reach commercial diesel van by Isuzu and Utilimaster, as well as Ford E-350 and E-450 cutaways and stripped chassis.
