Indianapolis, Ind. – Truck manufacturers will display 23 sustainable technology commercial vehicles next month at the Work Truck Show 2014, an annual event run by the NTEA, the Association for the Work Truck Industry.
Every vehicle is available for test-drives on city streets and in a new closed-access course. This year’s lineup includes trucks, shuttle buses and vans powered by the latest alternative fuel and hybrid systems.
The Work Truck Show 2014 runs March 5–7 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Educational programming, including the Green Truck Summit, begins March 4.
“Instead of trying to find time throughout the year to research and test-drive new vehicles, Work Truck Show attendees can try out 23 of the latest cutting edge alternative fuel and hybrid systems at the Green Truck Ride-and-Drive,” says Bob Johnson, NTEA director of fleet relations.
Alternative fuel and fuel-saving systems represented at the show include bi-fuel, compressed natural gas (CNG), electric hybrid, high-efficiency diesel, hydraulic hybrid, plug-in electric, and propane autogas.
The vehicles included in the Green Truck Ride-and-Drive are:
